PROWEB hosted a Networking Tea with Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, a life member of PROWEB, who is a Human Rights Lawyer and General Secretary of Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) since 2007.Nyaradzayi has over 10 years of experience with the United Nations, where she served as Regional Director for the United Nation Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) covering 13 countries. She was one of the six women nominated for the position of Executive Director of UN Women, however the former deputy president of South Africa, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka was appointed for the job.
Nyaradzayi had the following to share with women:
- Self define yourself- In terms of who you are professionally and business side, in terms of what you do.
- Be clear of what you want in life. Brand and package yourself, define your brand professionally and business wise.
- Complement who you are, you can’t be everything in life; self define yourself and complement your skills. Our behavior translates to our productivity. Inability to communicate hampers productivity.
